WHO'S IN CHARGE HERE?
Magpie is a former journalist, attempted historian [No, you can't ask how her thesis is going], and full-time corvid of the lesbian persuasion. She keeps herself in birdseed by writing those bad computer manuals that you toss out without bothering to read them. She also blogs too much when she's not on deadline, both here and at Pacific Views.
Magpie roosts in Portland, Oregon, where she annoys her housemates (as well as her cats Medea, Whiskers, and Jane Doe) by attempting to play Irish music on the fiddle and concertina.
But from the amount of posting we've done in the last week, you might have thought so.
The problem is that our 'real' job is keeping us really busy, leaving no time to post. We haven't had time to read the news, let alone comment on it. This wouldn't be a good situation if we liked our job, but given that we hate it, not blogging really sucks. [If anyone knows a good writing gig in the Portland, OR area, please let us know so we can quit our current job!]
Rather than continue to make excuses and keep y'all hanging, we think we'll declare an official hiatus for a few weeks. So from now until, say, mid-August, any posting we do will be over at Pacific Views.
We plan to come back from our break rested and ready to rumble. See you in mid-August!
